New Caney ISD is seeking community input in its ongoing search for a new superintendent.
The district released a survey Dec. 30 through which community members can indicate what characteristics and work experiences they want their next superintendent to have.
The survey also allows participants to select the most important issues the district will face in the next five years from among the following options: community relations, facilities, state and federal funding, instruction and curriculum, employee retention, student curriculum and learning environment, staff salaries, college readiness and CTE programs.
The survey is available online until Jan. 8. Former Superintendent Kenn Franklin resigned Nov. 16, and Deputy Superintendent Matt Calvert has served as interim superintendent since.
