Humble ISD released an announcement early Sept. 22 alerting families that in-person instruction will be canceled due to hazardous weather from Tropical Storm Beta. Instead, all students will switch to the district's online learning platform.

HISD's announcement on the district's website stated that district officials were notified early Sept. 22 that the storm could potentially affect road conditions and safety.

Humble ISD schools and buildings will be closed Tuesday, Sept. 22, due to the potential for street flooding from tropical storm bands moving over Houston throughout the day. New Caney ISD has not closed its campuses in response to the storm.
