The last days of the 2019-20 school year for New Caney ISD and Humble ISD and students were May 22 and 29, respectively. Now, with summer in full swing, both districts are extending their meal programs to continue offering free carryout meals to local families.

Humble ISD reduced its meal pickup days to Mondays and Wednesdays from 11 a.m.-noon; however, families can pick up two days worth of food from June 1-29, according to the district's website.

Meals can be picked up from Humble and Kingwood Park high schools, Humble Middle School and Oaks, Ridge Creek and River Pines elementary schools.

NCISD has also extended its free meal service pickup through July 31, according to a news release on the district's website. Families can pick up breakfast and lunch meals Mon.-Thu. from 8:30-11:30 a.m.

Not only NCISD families but all local families can pick up meals for their children at New Caney and Sorters Mill elementary schools, per the district.
