    A national search for superintendent concluded after Elizabeth Fagen was selected  in July.

  • Attracting, retaining teachers
    Teacher entry pay rose to $52,300 in 2016, ranking HISD fourth out of 15 area districts.

  • Construction of new school
    The district broke ground on a new elementary school and a new middle school being built in Atascocita neighborhood The Groves.
