Kentucky Fried Chicken officials said the fast food chain opened a new location in Humble in February.

Per a Feb. 17 email from KBP Brands, the new location celebrated its grand opening by giving the first 50 customers free chicken for a year during its ribbon cutting ceremony held Feb. 18.

The fried chicken fast food chain was founded in Kentucky in 1930 and has over 24,000 locations in more than 145 countries, per the website. The eatery offers fried chicken menu items such as tenders, nuggets and sandwiches, as well as family meal options.
