Cases remain high after Thanksgiving break in New Caney, Humble ISDs

As of Dec. 10, New Caney ISD and Humble ISD continue to see high numbers of coronavirus cases among students and staff following Thanksgiving break.

NCISD has 41 total active cases: 22 students and 19 staff members. Overall, these numbers are lower than they were in the week immediately preceding Thanksgiving break but are still higher than the district’s numbers in early November.



HISD has 254 total active cases. From Dec. 3-10, middle schools were the level that saw the largest increase, from 38 to 76. Riverwood Middle School has the highest number of cases, with 14 in total: 10 students and four staff members.
