More than 99,000 COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered in the Lake Houston area as of March 28.

According to the Texas Department of State Health Services, 99,701 vaccine doses have been administered, and 31,694 residents are fully vaccinated.

ZIP code 77346 has the most vaccine doses administered at 23,111 while ZIP code 77345 has the highest percentage of its population vaccinated at 47%. Health experts have previously said between 70%-80% of the population would need to be vaccinated to provide herd immunity.

All Texas adults became eligible for the vaccine as of March 29.
