"Amazon is activating its facility in Porter on [Hwy.] 59 this month. Officials have asked us not to release any further details at this time; but exciting stuff is headed this way," ECMID officials wrote in the post.
Originally announced in March 2021 and expected to open later that year, Amazon officials said in February 2022 the Porter facility had been delayed "until further notice."
While no additional details have been released as of press time, the facility was expected to bring about 300 full-time jobs to the Porter community when the project was originally announced.
