Officials with national retailer Popshelf have filed permits for a new store in Valley Ranch Town Center, according to information on the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation's website.

To be located at 21336 Marketplace Drive, Ste. 7, New Caney, Popshelf will sell a variety of items at discounted prices, including home decor, beauty items, gifts and toys. Popshelf is a subsidiary of Dollar General.

While a projected opening date had not been announced as of press time, construction on the new location is expected to begin Aug. 1 and wrap up by Oct. 31, according to the TDLR. www.popshelf.com
