Houston Public Works began repairing the West Lake Houston Parkway bridge over the San Jacinto River in late October. An Oct. 25 news release from Houston City Council Member Dave Martin’s office said although the bridge is structurally sound and safe for vehicles, Houston Public Works needs to replace three-inch bearing pads that have slipped out from three concrete beams. The project is set to be completed in late December.
