1. City Hall storm sewage project
A storm sewage and drainage system improvement project is underway around the City Hall construction zone. The project upgrades existing lines to accommodate the new facility. Sections of the streets around the project, including First and Second streets and Avenue D, will be closed periodically through October.

2. Morton Road expansion
Construction on the Morton Road expansion from Katy Hockley Cutoff to Pitts roads is scheduled to go out for bid this fall, but exact dates have not been set. The two-phase project will expand the road from two to four 12-foot lanes with a 5-foot concrete sidewalk added on the south side.

3. Saums Road overlay project
The stretch of Saums Road between Barker Cypress and Greenhouse roads is being resurfaced as part of the ReBuild Houston initiative, a city of Houston overlay project to improve streets throughout the region. Damaged asphalt was removed and replaced with 1- to 2-inch thick asphalt overlay.
