On June 22, House of Pies held a soft opening for its newest location in Katy at 20802 Katy Freeway. Not only does House of Pies have varieties, such as French silk, dutch apple, coconut cream and cherry pies, its menu also includes cookies, homemade muffins, ice cream, cheesecake, fudge brownies and other sweet treats. In addition to desserts, the eatery serves a host of breakfast, lunch and dinner options, such as the Texan omelet with sausage, jalapeno, onions and cheddar; chicken pot pie and grilled shrimp salad.

House of Pies has five other Houston-area restaurants, including The Woodlands, Cypress, Upper Kirby, Westheimer and South Houston. The Katy store is not accepting call-in orders at this time, but will begin doing so following the full, grand opening. www.houseofpies.com
