Update 9 a.m., May 14: Rick Martin with Texas Star Grill Shop said in an email the grand opening for the Katy store will be postponed to June. Soft opening events began April 1.

Texas Star Grill Shop purchased Westside Grill and Fireplace's retail store at 22010 Highland Knolls Drive, Katy, in early April, Store Manager Peter DeSantis said.

The location has been open for customers since the ownership change, and a grand opening celebration is set for May 16.

Texas Star offers a selection of grills, outdoor kitchen components and accessories, such as meat rubs, spices and barbecue tools. It also offers built-in kitchens and a meat case with Texas Wagyu beef, or Akaushi.
