Fort Bend County officials are preparing to open additional COVID-19 vaccination sites so that the county will be able to administer more vaccines as soon as they become available.

Construction on the $55 million Texas Heritage Parkway project connecting FM 1093 to I-10 is underway, according to Andy Meyers, Fort Bend County Precinct 3 commissioner.

Farm Stores comes to Katy

Katy welcomed its first combination drive-thru grocery store at the end of November with Farm Stores, self-described as a neighborhood grocery store combined with a fresh bakery and drive-thru restaurant.

A second COVID-19 vaccination hub was designated in Montgomery County on Jan. 23, along with allocations of nearly 4,000 doses for the county's two hub sites, to begin the seventh week of statewide vaccine distribution.
