At a June 28 Fort Bend County Commissioners Court meeting, this action and others were approved to continue building the Creekside Village community in Fulshear Lakes, which includes single-family units. Homes in this community will begin preselling in late 2023, according to officials.
Creekside Village Section 1 consists of 66 lots and 14 reserves in two blocks, according to documentation from LJA Engineering, the firm developing the property. The final plat of land was approved by the city of Fulshear City Council in September.
LJA Engineering requested a variance to public utility easements so they could be placed in the front of properties instead of the back. The firm also requested a variance to the maximum 1,400-foot block length requirement and to not allow a north/south street through the proposed development area.
These variances, along with plats for lots and roads within Creekside Village Section 1, were approved by the court at the meeting.
GFO Homes—homebuilders with neighborhoods in Houston, Dallas and Austin—anticipate Fulshear Lakes to be a “highly desirable” community with villages, open spaces, creeks, walkable parks and trails. Students in this neighborhood would attend Dean Leaman Junior High School and Fulshear High School in Lamar CISD.
