Oct.1-3: Fort Bend County Fair & Rodeo

The Fort Bend County Fair & Rodeo will begin Sept. 24 at the fairgrounds in Rosenberg. The event includes livestock and rodeo shows, a farmers market, a crawfish boil and a barbecue cook-off. The Fort Bend County Fair Association will also award $4,000 in scholarships to high school seniors. Free (children age 5 and under), $5 (children ages 6-11), $15 (over age 11). Oct. 2: 2021 St. Paul's Fall Festival and Craft Show

The annual Fall Festival & Craft Show features Christmas shopping, children’s activities and barbecue sandwiches. Katy Elks Lodge is preparing and selling food, including hot dogs and pork or brisket sandwiches, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Plates will cost $4-$7. Oct. 2: Paws Fest 2021

Paws Fest 2021, presented by Circle B Veterinary Hospital, is an all-day event for dogs and their owners. Oct. 2: Katy Rice Festival parade

The 2021 Katy Rice Festival, presented by the city of Katy and the Katy Rotary Club, is an annual event in downtown Katy benefiting the local community. The festival celebrates Katy’s history as a hub for rice farming and kicks off with a parade Oct. 2 at 9 a.m. The parade route begins at Fifth Street and East Avenue behind Katy Church of Christ, and it ends at Parkway Fellowship on 10th Street. www.katyricefestival.com
