Filing for the May 1 election opened Jan. 13 and will close Feb. 12. Trustee positions 6 and 7 will be on the ballot to each serve a three-year term.
To date, incumbent Susan Gesoff has filed to run again for Position 6, according to the district’s website. Gesoff currently serves as the board secretary. As of Jan. 22, she is unopposed.
Incumbent Dawn Champagne has filed for re-election for Position 7. Walter Butler has also filed to run for the position.
Early voting for the election will run from April 19-27, according to the Texas secretary of state’s office.
