“Over the past two school years, the district has worked to support our students and staff with resources to help navigate the global pandemic,” KISD Director of Risk Management Lance Nauman said in a press release. “Now that the Food and Drug Administration and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention have approved the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine for younger children, we are taking steps to make it easily accessible to our students.”
Randall’s Pharmacy will administer the vaccine on three different dates in November and will offer follow-up shots in December. Vaccinations are also available for students ages 12-18 who have not received an initial immunization.
Students must show a valid student ID and a completed parent consent form to receive a vaccination.
