Katy ISD is requesting community feedback on the district’s five-year strategic plan, according to a Sept. 10 press release. The feedback will help evaluate outcomes and further define objectives KISD will pursue over the next two years, the release said.

The release came days after parents, students, staff and community members were invited via email to participate in a survey that aims to provide direction for enhancing programs and services as well as sustaining student achievement, according to KISD.

"The success of our strategic plan relies heavily on community involvement, particularly that of parents and staff as we plan for the future of our district," KISD Superintendent Ken Gregorski said in a statement. "We exist to serve our students and their families, which is why their feedback is a critical part of the process."

KISD launched its first-ever strategic plan in 2017. That five-year plan will conclude in 2022. It included goals for personalized learning, digital infrastructure, recruitment and retention, student well-being and more, the district said. KISD officials said stakeholder groups assess the plan every year to review progress and identify next steps.

The survey will close Sept. 30.
