"A number of our campuses have been experiencing power outages, uncertainty with water supply and wireless systems failures," the statement said. "Likewise, many of our Katy ISD families and staff continue to be without power."
During the closure, both in-person and virtual learning are canceled.
The district’s operations and technology teams are assessing systems daily, the statement said. An update regarding school for Feb. 22 will be made over the weekend.
In addition, the KISD COVID-19 testing site will be closed Feb. 19-20, the district said, and the Katy ISD FFA Livestock Show has been postponed to Feb. 23-27.
