KISD sent out a survey to the district’s parents, staff and community members for feedback as the board of trustees searches for a new superintendent following Alton Frailey’s announcement in January that he will retire in August. The district sent out 85,446 participant invitations and received 2,910 responses.
“I thought the survey design and the process used was outstanding,” said attorney David Thompson, a superintendent search consultant hired by the KISD board of trustees.
Respondents identified the need for a new superintendent to be able to recruit, hire and maintain quality staff, manage the district’s budget efficiently and accommodate student growth.
