Several Katy-area restaurants are participating in Latin Restaurant Weeks, a campaign designed to highlight the contributions of Hispanics and Latinos in the restaurant industry and acknowledge them as an integral part of the local community.

According to a press release from Latin Restaurant Weeks, the initiative has returned to elevate and aid Houston’s Latin and Latin-owned culinary businesses who are on the road to post-pandemic recovery.

The campaign, which runs June 1-14, encourages Houston-area residents and visitors to support restaurants by eating at participating Mexican, BBQ, Latin-Japanese fusion, Colombian, Cuban, El Salvadoran and Tex-Mex spots.

In the Katy area, participating restaurants include La Olla, which serves Colombian cuisine; Las Mañanitas Mexican Restaurant; Pablo's Restaurant & Club, a Mediterranean restaurant; Kokai Sushi & Lounge and more.

Overall, the two-week event features more than 50 Houston-area restaurants that are offering signature items and various options ranging from $15-$50. Most restaurants have options for dine-in, takeout and/or delivery.
