An apartment complex near the intersection of Franz Road and the Grand Parkway is almost ready for new residents to move in.

Elation at Grandway West, which is located at 23010 Franz Road, Katy, across from St. John XXIII College Preparatory and immediately west of Storage Plus of Katy on Franz Road, plans to open its clubhouse in mid-November and welcome new residents in mid-December into its first three-story building, which holds about 60 units, community manager Noreen Renteria said.

In total, the apartment complex will have 324 one- and two-bedroom units leasing at around $1,200-$1,800 per month, she said. Amenities include a pool, a grill area, a fitness center with classes, a dog park, a dog spa, a fire pit and an outdoor area with hammocks and lawn games. The complex has begun pre-leasing.

Additionally, units will include smart home technology, through which users can control lighting, climate and access with smartphones and voice, Renteria said.

Insite Reality is the developer of the complex, Renteria confirmed. According to the Harris County Appraisal District, Urban Grand Parkway LP—which has the same address as Insite Realty—has owned a 13.9-acre parcel where Elation at Grandway West is located since 2016. The 2019 appraised and market value of the parcel is $3.1 million, according to HCAD.
