There have been 15 deaths—six confirmed COVID-19 deaths and nine pending medical record review—at the nursing and rehabilitation facility, per the release.
As of Aug. 11, 88 residents and staff members are being monitored by HCPH for COVID-19, and one additional case is being monitored but is out of HCPH's jurisdiction.
The investigation at the center began July 3 when two individuals tested positive and were reported to HCPH.
The facility is under a HCPH public health control order to ensure compliance with infection control and prevention as well as to track transmission of the virus and related deaths.
There have been 86,563 confirmed COVID-19 cases and 905 deaths in Houston and Harris County as of Aug. 11.
