Multiple COVID-19 deaths and cases are under investigation at Sterling Oaks Rehabilitation, located at 25150 Lakecrest Manor Drive, Katy, according to an Aug. 11 Harris County Public Health press release.
There have been 15 deaths—six confirmed COVID-19 deaths and nine pending medical record review—at the nursing and rehabilitation facility, per the release.
As of Aug. 11, 88 residents and staff members are being monitored by HCPH for COVID-19, and one additional case is being monitored but is out of HCPH's jurisdiction.
The investigation at the center began July 3 when two individuals tested positive and were reported to HCPH.
