Sundance Memory Care Benefit Concert for The Ballard House and HOPEworks Counseling
The memory care facility has partnered with Cane Island in Katy to host a benefit concert. Donations collected during the concert will go to The Ballard House and Hope for the Heart/HOPEworks Counseling, a worldwide biblical counseling ministry. The event will feature live music from Marc Broussard and The Mrs. and Reed Turner. Food and beverages will be available. Free. Katy’s Cane Island Amenity Village, 2100 Cane Island Parkway, Katy. 5:30 p.m. VIP meet and greet. 6-9 p.m. live music.

Live Music at inaugural Fridays on Fifth Street event
Memory Makers Enrichment Center hosts the first of a cultural series to promote the small businesses in downtown Katy. The event will feature live music, local food, wine, beer and vendors along with children’s activities including a bounce house and crafts. Downtown Katy businesses owners will be in attendance as well. Katy Christian Ministries Heroes Race Against Domestic Violence
The charity has partnered with the Katy Police Department to sponsor a race to help raise awareness about domestic violence and its effect on the community. Proceeds benefit the KCM Crisis Center which assists survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. The event includes a 5K and 10K course and all skill levels are welcome to join. 5K chip-timed race $30, 10K chip-timed $40, 5K non-competitive $25, Family fun run/walk $25. Cross Creek Ranch Scarecrow Festival
