The Texas Department of Transportation has suspended all lane closures in the Greater Houston area due to hazardous weather and road conditions associated with Hurricane Harvey. This suspension will be in place until further notice from the agency.

The National Weather Service has tropical storm warnings and a storm surge watch in effect for Austin, Chambers, Colorado, Harris, Fort Bend, Liberty, Waller and Wharton counties.

A storm surge watch is in effect for Chambers, Harris, Jackson and Matagorda counties.

A Storm Surge Warning and Hurricane Warning are in effect for Jackson and Matagorda counties.

A Storm Surge Warning and Tropical Storm Warning are in effect for Brazoria and Galveston counties.

Those choosing to evacuate are advised to use caution while driving and avoid high water areas.
