Sensory Playground opened Oct. 11 at Katy Mills Mall, 5000 Katy Mills Mall Circle. Next to the AMC movie theater, the playground has sensory activities for children, which include a painting station ($6), a kinetic sand station ($6) and a free block station.

The playground is open 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. - 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday. A discounted rate of $3 per station is available from 11:30 - 12:30 Monday through Thursday. Walk-ins and playgroups are welcome.  The playground also hosts birthday parties and awill provide mobile parties and events for children with sensory disorders.
