Katy GT Academy

The educational facility offers academic camps ranging from one week to four weeks. Academic camps are led by certified teachers and cover math, science, computer software and SAT preparation. Other camps include basketball, ice skating, chess and robotics.

Students learn the basics of Spanish and French, including vocabulary, pronunciation, verb conjugation and basic skills.

Elementary school and junior high school students choose math or communication classes to have fun and to improve their skills.
Circle Lake Ranch Horse Camp[/caption]

Children receive daily instruction in an introduction to horse riding and ownership. Circle Lake Ranch owns 23 horses selected for their gentle demeanor, and student interns are available to walk alongside beginner horse riders until they feel comfortable enough to ride on their own. Along with learning the basics of horse riding, students rotate through different learning centers that include lessons on horse feeding, putting equipment on horses, washing and grooming and identifying the parts of a horse. Children produce horse-related artwork and participate in a horse show on the last day of camp.

Katy Visual and Performing Arts Center classes

Children with and without musical experience find out what it is like to be a rock star at School of Rock Katy’s Performance Camps. Beginners spend a week picking up any instrument that appeals to them and learning how to play, while more experienced youth musicians spend an entire week learning to perform and practicing their craft.

Cost: $250 (per week with extra fees for early drop-off and late pickup)
Attendees at camp begin each day with high-energy, interactive performances. There are also worship sessions, games and live character skits. Participants engage in various sports activities, including zip lining, enjoying water slides and swimming. Swimming lessons are also offered for an extra $50 fee.

American Robotics Academy

At robotics camp, the staff focuses on team building, problem-solving, creativity and fun. Campers attend a full- or half-day camp and work with Lego bricks, axles, gears, beams, wheels, motors and microcomputers. They learn how to design, build and test remote-controlled miniature robots.

Nutty Scientists Fort Bend summer camps provide children with a safe environment to explore the wonders of science. Each camp contains a different educational theme.
