Unofficial voting results per Fort Bend County data in the Republican primary election for state Representative District 28 show Gary Gates leading the race with 75.3% of the vote. As of 9:30 a.m. Fort Bend County is reporting early and absentee vote totals as well as counts from all 76 voting centers.

Gates, the incumbent, received 10,631 votes. Candidate Robert Boettcher has received 24.7% of the votes, or 3,490 votes. The Democratic candidate, Nelvin J. Adriatico, ran unopposed. According to the county website, 17.3% of registered voters' ballots have been cast as of 12:17 a.m.

District 28 has a total population of 260,802 and is in the northeast portion of Fort Bend County. Results are updated as of 9:30 a.m. and are unofficial until they are canvassed and certified by the county clerk.

Gates, the incumbent, has received 9,523 votes. Candidate Robert Boettcher has received 24.6% of the votes, or 3,108 votes. The Democratic candidate, Nelvin J. Adriatico, ran unopposed. According to the county website, 15% of registered voters' ballots have been cast and zero voting center locations have reported data at this time.

Gates, the incumbent, received 6,702 votes. Candidate Robert Boettcher received 24.4% of the votes, or 2,168 votes. The Democratic candidate, Nelvin J. Adriatico, ran unopposed. As of 7:15 p.m., 54,467 ballots have been cast of the 504,151 registered voters.
