Another cell phone tower is coming to Fulshear with hopes to improve cellular connectivity, officials said.

Two-minute impact

At a March 18 meeting, Fulshear City Council approved a special use permit for AMS Wireless, a site development company, to construct a telecommunications tower located at 6510 FM 359, Fulshear, to improve cellular connections as demand increases.

The 150-foot-tall monopole tower will be at the corner of Rogers Road and FM 359 with AT&T as the anchor tenant, Planning Director Josh Brothers said. The site also has the capacity to house two additional carriers.
