Aleoli Me Time Studio, a new business coming to Katy, aims to provide parents with child care while they enjoy some time to themselves.

The details

Parents will be able to receive up to two hours of child care while sitting in the studio’s on-site coffee shop or participating in a fitness class, co-owner Margarita Castellanos said. Classes will include reformer Pilates, mat Pilates and yoga.

Meanwhile, the coffee shop will offer hot and iced beverages such as matcha and nitro cold brew, coffee from El Salvador, pastries and other seasonal small bites, Castellanos said.

The concept

Castellanos said she and her husband, Javier, were inspired by other concepts in the U.S. where patrons can have coffee while their children play nearby. However, without supervised child care, Castellanos said “you never finish your coffee.”

“Let's have something where the parents don't feel guilty about going because the kids will be playing and they'll have a fun environment to stay while you take a little bit of time for you,” she said.

How it works

Patrons can sign up for memberships at the studio or reserve individual classes, with the option to pay extra for child care. Child care will be available by reservation for children 6 months old to 6 years old, and parents must stay in the building for the two-hour duration, Castellanos said.
