Irving-based Lumin Fitness will expand with its first franchised studio in Cinco Ranch next year.

The overview

Founded in 2019, the business utilizes artificial intelligence, augmented reality, gamification, motion tracking and personalized audio to provide a boutique fitness experience, Raheel Suria, managing partner at Verge Fit Holdings, said in an email. Verge Fit Holdings is the Houston-based investment group behind the Katy location.

The details

Lumin Fitness Cinco Ranch will offer 40-minute group fitness classes in studios with wall-to-wall screens that create an interactive environment, Suria said.

Classes are led by an AI trainer who take members through high intensity functional training, which focuses on mobility, and aerobic, muscular and motor fitness, Suria said. Meanwhile, an in-person coach supports and provides members additional feedback as needed.
