After a decade, nonprofit Hope Impacts seeks to move into a larger space to better service unsheltered residents in Katy, Executive Director Tina Hatcher said.

The group will raise money toward this cause and commemorate its 10-year anniversary with a semi-formal gala at the Palacio Maria Event Center on July 11, located at 21728 Highland Knolls Drive, Katy.

What's happening

The gala is from 6-10 p.m. and features a red carpet entry, silent auction, a keynote from outgoing Fulshear Mayor Aaron Groff, client testimonials and a dinner. Beer and wine tickets as well as raffle prizes will also be offered at the event, according to a news release about the event.

Single tickets cost $150, while sponsorship opportunities range from $500-$5,000.

Hope Impacts still needs sponsors, items for its silent auction and raffle, and attendees, Hatcher said. Tickets and more information are available here.

What they offer

Hope Impacts doesn't provide housing, hotels or financial assistance; instead, it connects those experiencing homelessness to resources for shelter, showers, meals and medical services through case management and client advocacy, according to its website.

In addition, the organization offers dinners and showers, a monthly outreach lunch, transportation to appointments, computer usage, mail services and Bible studies, according to its website. Once funds are raised for the new space, the group intends to expand its services and provide a computer lab for educational classes.

Founded in May 2014, Hope Impacts has partnered with Katy-area churches, businesses and other nonprofits to help more than 270 people find homes, per the website.
