Entrepreneurs in Fulshear will now have more resources to grow their small businesses.

The details

The Fulshear Economic Development Corporation has partnered with The Cannon, a regional business hub, to launch a free small-business initiative bringing resources to support and grow small businesses within the area.

Beginning April 2, community members will be able to join Fulshear Fast Track’s online community providing a place for business owners to connect with one another and provide support, Managing Director Mat Yelvington said. Upon registration, they will be eligible to partake in:
  • Online educational resources, including proactive coaching
  • Monthly networking lunches
  • Business seminars
Director of Economic Development Annel Guadalupe said the initiative was birthed in 2019 after a strategic plan found a gap in services to local entrepreneurs.

A quick note

The organization is not only for those who already have a small business but also for those who may be interested in starting one, even if they do not already have an idea, Yelvington said.

“We are here to support you no matter where you are,” he said.

Get involved

To officially launch the organization, Fulshear Fast Track is hosting a launch party at 4 p.m. on April 2 at The Perfect Round located at 6619 W. Cross Creek Bend Lane in Fulshear, Yelvington said.

Next steps

As the organization grows, Yelvington said they hope the organization will eventually be able to have a physical location where minds can collaborate.

“Our hope and dream is that eventually ... we’ll be able to create an actual physical entrepreneur hub here in Fulshear to provide businesses a space to grow together, connect with each other and bounce ideas off of each other to help build and grow different businesses,” Yelvington said.
