There are plenty of activities and events happening in the Katy and Fulshear area in late September and October. This list is not comprehensive.

Yoga on the Green

At Central Green Park, instructor Samantha Walker will host an active session rooted in Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga, a form of Indian yoga, and Vipassana Meditation, which emphasizes mindfulness.

Paws Fest

The Katy Branch Library and Precinct 4 Parks & Recreation will host an evening storytime and craft activity at Mary Jo Peckham Park.

Veterans Fun Run/Walk For Heroes




Participants can register for a kids 1K, 5K or 10K run or walk through the Bridgeland master-planned community. T-shirts and hand towels will be given to all participants, and first-, second- and third-place runners will receive trophies for the 5K and 10K races. The sixth annual event benefits Bridgeland Community Supports Veterans Inc., a nonprofit that supports veterans and is raising funds to create the veterans memorial park in the community.Author Indie Book Fair 2024

The second annual event at the British International School of Houston will feature more than 120 independent or self-published authors from across the state. Book genres include fantasy, science fiction, romance, horror, nonfiction, comics and graphic novels.Katy Rice Harvest Festival

Visitors can celebrate the spirit, culture and history of Katy at the two-day downtown event, which will include some new attractions. In addition to food trucks and food tents, live music, a kids and teen zone, and vendor booths, it will add a mutton busting competition, junior cooking contest, indoor air-conditioned arcade and bingo tents, and a sports zone showing best-of college and professional football games. Headliners are Little Texas and Stoney LaRue.Fulshear Farmers Market

At the weekly market, visitors can expect seasonal produce, local honey, pastured meats and fresh food items from more than 90 local vendors.
