Katy City Administrator Byron Hebert announced Jurassic World: The Exhibition, inspired by Universal Pictures and Amblin Entertainment’s “Jurassic World” movie franchise, at the Feb. 2 Katy Area Chamber of Commerce luncheon.

The family-friendly venue will be in the parking lot between entrances six and seven at the mall, according to the website and city officials.
According to a news release on the exhibition's website, after entering the iconic “Jurassic World” gate, attendees can:
- Walk among life-size animatronic dinosaurs, including the Brachiosaurus, Velociraptors and the Tyrannosaurus rex
- Take a selfie with baby dinosaurs
- Learn in the genetic creation lab
- View a life-size gyrosphere

This is the most recent U.S. location of Universal Studios’ touring experience, with other locations including Deutschland, Australia, Canada and China, according to the website. It has toured 19 cities around the world, including Dallas in 2021, according to a Feb. 2 news release.
