Fulshear children will have the opportunity to expand on their math and science skills at the soon to open Kumon Math & Reading Center of Fulshear.

What they offer

Kumon offers courses in both math and reading with a self-paced curriculum that is individualized to each student through worksheets, which are completed daily. Beyond math and science, the center aims to help children become self-learners by creating independent learning habits and strong study habits, said Michelle Salvador, Kumon Fulshear center’s director and instructor.

The Japan-based learning center is in over 51 countries and regions worldwide promoting math and reading in preschool to high school children. Kumon was founded in 1958 and now has over 24,700 centers across the globe, including 1,500 in the U.S., according to its website.

What they’re saying

The location will bring new opportunities to students and will be the first Kumon center to open in Fulshear, Salvador said in an email.

“Fulshear is one of the fastest-growing cities in the state, the city is expanding and we are seeing more and more families moving to Fulshear,” she said. “We are excited to share the Kumon method with the community to parents and children.”
