According to data the Texas Education Agency released Dec. 15, Katy ISD student academic performance outpaced the 2022 results overall. The Texas Academic Performance Report highlights student performance in each school and district in Texas each year, according to the TEA website.

Performance data draws heavily on State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness results and is separated out by student groups, including ethnicity and socioeconomic status. The reports also provide extensive information on school and district staff and programs.

Trustees heard a presentation on the results during the Jan. 22 board meeting. The TAPR results were part of the 2022-23 annual report, presented by Executive Director of School Improvement Natalie Martinez.
