Rita's Italian Ice & Frozen Custard has opened its third Houston-area location adjacent to the new H-E-B in the Market at Katy Park.

The eatery specializes in Italian ice with a daily rotating selection from over 80 flavors, including blueberry lemonade, chocolate chip cheesecake, pumpkin pie and watermelon, according to a Dec. 30 news release.

Other menu items include frozen custard, signature gelati, concretes—custard with mix-ins—frozen coffee, milkshakes and Rita’s Blenders, which is a combination of custard and Italian Ice.

"For us, this venture is more than just a business opportunity; it's a chance to create something truly special that reflects our family values and brings joy to our neighborhood."

Zooming out

The Pennsylvania-based franchise has over 550 locations across the nation, including two additional Houston locations in The Heights and Galveston, according to its website. Another location is set to open in Meyerland.
