Portillo’s Chicago-style street food is headed to Katy and Stafford.

By the end of 2024, the national fast-casual restaurant chain is set to open three new Texas locations: the two Houston-area locations and a third in Dallas, according to a news release from the company.

On the menu

The concept’s menu consists of Chicago-style hot dogs, Italian beef and sausage sandwiches, chicken sandwiches, burgers, fries, salads, pasta plates, milkshakes and chocolate cake, according to the website.

The details

The Katy location is set to open in the Katy Grand development off Katy Circle Boulevard, per the release. While officials didn't confirm the exact business addresses by press time, project filing information from the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation has the address as 1019 Westside Parkway, Katy.

Stafford’s location will open in mixed-use development The Grid, on the northeast corner of Hwy. 59 frontage road and Nexus Avenue, according to a TDLR filing. It'll join other tenants such as Snooze an A.M. Eatery that opened in February and Hopdoddy Burger Bar, which is set to open next year.

Both the Katy and Stafford locations will feature indoor and outdoor seating and two drive-thru lanes. The Katy eatery’s interior is described as “retro automotive”-themed, while Stafford will be styled like a Southwest diner, according to the release.
