Fulshear residents will soon be able to enjoy soccer fields and playground equipment at a new park set to open in 2025.

The details

The city of Fulshear gathered March 26 to celebrate the groundbreaking of the $4.69 million Eagle Landing Park, located at 4131 Woods Road.

“Eagle Landing Park aligns with the mission of the city of Fulshear by providing soccer fields to grow recreational sports in Fulshear,” said Tiffany Stodder, Fulshear assistant director of public works. “This park will offer children a place to run, play and strengthen their sports efforts.”

The park will feature a variety of amenities, including:
  • Soccer fields (full size and youth)
  • Playground equipment
  • Restroom and concession facilities
  • Covered patio area with tables
  • Parking lot with 310 spaces
What’s in a name?

Kimberly Bow, co-chair of the city's parks and recreation commission, said the city wanted to honor the park's history with its name.

“Everyone wanted to reflect our culture community and make this a unique park, something that people can enjoy for generations to come,” Bow said. “This land here that we are on used to be rice fields and many birds used to land here. When we had discussions about the name in the park we wanted to recognize the past and play homage to it.”

Eagle Landing Park will have eagle references throughout, including within the playground structure, Bow said.

Construction on the park is set to begin by the end of April and will take about 12 months to complete, Stodder said.
