Located in downtown Katy and shaded by 100-year-old heritage oak trees, the historic Romack house provides a nostalgic aesthetic for weddings, baby showers, anniversaries, quinceañeras and other special occasions, Maggie LaRotta said.
“It's a beautifully kept and restored historic home with these gorgeous, centennial trees,” she said. “It just creates this warmth and inviting ambience in the space. It's just so tranquil and beautiful.”

As founder of audio-visual entertainment business Houston Memorable Events, Hector LaRotta always had a dream to own a venue, Maggie LaRotta said.
When the opportunity came to buy the half-acre site with accommodations for 100 guests, the couple saw it as the perfect opportunity to round out the business. Now, they offer customizable packages for events and parties.
“Hector has always been in the [wedding] industry and really just loves celebrating with people,” Maggie LaRotta said. “I’m here to support that dream.”

Since purchasing the historic Katy fixture from its previous owners, the LaRottas have hired a dedicated staff to assist with events.
They’ve also upgraded the home’s bridal suite, painted its garden room, added fencing for privacy and are currently replacing the flooring in the main hall, Maggie LaRotta said.

Cottage Charm will host its annual open house Feb. 27, where those interested in renting the venue for their own events can explore the amenities, Maggie LaRotta said.
Since food and drink will be provided, those interested in attending are encouraged to RSVP through the venue’s Instagram page.
