Katy-area Girl Scouts will have a new place to shop this month.

The details

The Girl Scouts of San Jacinto Council announced the opening of its eighth Girl Scout Shop and Resource Center opening at Katy Mills Mall, according to an Aug. 27 news release. The store will offer Girl Scout uniforms and accessories as well as a space for troop meetings and events.

“Local shops offer everything a girl needs to start her Girl Scout journey, including uniforms, badges, program materials and accessories,” Public Relations Manager Kendall Zwang said in an email. “Shopping local helps support the council and the more than 35,000 girls and 14,000 adult volunteers who are members throughout 26 counties in Southeast Texas.”
