The former Bed Bath and Beyond building will transform into a seasonal Spirit Halloween location for Katy, officials confirmed.

The gist

The store carries a vast number of Halloween costumes for children, teens and adults as well as decor and animatronics. Since 1983, the franchise has grown to over 1,500 seasonal locations across North America, according to its website.

The store will remain open through Halloween and will close on Nov. 1 or 2, store officials said in an email.

What else?

The store also raises funds for Spirit of Children, which is the company’s philanthropic organization, to promote the Halloween holiday for children in the hospital, according to its website.

Since its inception in 2006, the organization has raised more than $127 million for its more than 159 pediatric hospital partners.
