First Home Depot inside Katy city limits is now open

The Home Depot has opened its new store inside Katy city limits.

The features

Located in west Katy, south of I-10 and west of Cane Island Parkway, the expansive shopping center features:

• A 106,270-square-foot indoor space
• A 28,216-square-foot outdoor garden center
• A one-stop-shop for power with a battery platform layout
• A tool rental center open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.

In spring 2023, Katy officials adjusted the city's limits to accommodate the home improvement retailer and bolster economic development.

Community Impact reported in February the new Home Depot would contribute to the city's tax revenue, and serve as an anchor for eight additional pad sites for future businesses.
