On the menu
The bakery is known for its gourmet cookie menu that rotates weekly with six large cookies, one of which is always the signature milk chocolate chip cookie. Cookies are made with specialty ingredients, with some recipes including stuffed centers like caramel or Biscoff butter, franchisee owner and General Manager Tiffany Morris said.
"There's a specific butter we use, there's a specific chocolate, and if I don't have that chocolate, I can't do that [cookie]," she said. "Each one is individually planned; there's no double recipes. ... It's all completely different."
The new week's menu items premiere every Friday, bringing handcrafted options available individually or in four-, six- or 12-pack boxes, according to the website. Additionally, a seventh cookie—semisweet chocolate chip—is added to the menu every Thursday, Morris said.
In addition to its gourmet cookies, the business offers loaded sodas, which are customizable with flavored syrups and creams, fruit purees and boba.
Customers can get their hands on the cookies by ordering online and picking it up in store, ordering in person, or getting items delivered. Catering will also be available, Morris said. The backstory
Crave Cookies began in Utah in 2019 and has expanded to 27 locations across the U.S., Morris said.
Morris was visiting friends in Utah when she became inspired to bring the cookie store to the Houston area, she said. Morris decided to open the store in Katy because she grew up in Katy and saw the growth happening around the Grand Parkway and Morton Road, she said.
“They don't have a cookie place. ... Another thing that we offer is loaded soda, and so they don't offer that,” she said. “So there's so many people over there that need this.”What's next
Morris plans to open at least four other Crave Cookies locations throughout the Houston area over the next few years.
Meanwhile, the first Texas location opened in Prosper in late March.
