Typhoon Texas Waterpark in Katy has opened a number of seasonal positions.

Ahead of its upcoming season, Typhoon Texas has opened over 1,000 seasonal employment opportunities for those age 15 and older, according to a news release.

"At Typhoon Texas Waterpark, our team members are crucial in creating exceptional guest experiences," Director of Marketing John Pham said in the release. "We're excited to welcome new team members who share our passion for fun and hospitality."

Positions start at $9 an hour and go up based on experience. Available positions for summer 2024 include:

• Lifeguard
• Admissions
• Food and beverage
• Operations manager
• Sales interns
• Customer service representatives
• Maintenance technicians
• Birthday coordinator

Employees receive a number of perks, including free family and friends tickets, discounted in-park food and retail, scholarship opportunities, and the opportunity to participate in leadership development programs, according to the release.

The waterpark is set to open weekends beginning April 13 and will move to a seven-day weekly schedule after Memorial Day.
