International fashion retailer Primark plans to join the stores at Katy Mills mall, marking the brand's first Houston-area location.

A Feb. 12 news release from Katy Mills states Primark will bring a combination of the latest fashion trends and essentials for the whole family, as well as homewares and beauty products, at an affordable price.

Primark was founded in Ireland in 1969 under the Penneys brand, per the Feb. 12 release. The retailer has over 400 stores globally, including 24 U.S. stores across nine states. The brand plans to bring the total number of U.S. stores to 60 by 2026.
