Final May 6 unofficial election results show Katy City Council Ward A incumbent Janet Corte was re-elected to the role with 480 votes, or 85.41% of the vote. Challenger Cara Bonin received 14.59% of the vote, according to election results from the city of Katy.

Corte told Community Impact she looks forward to another three years to complete projects in the role.

“I feel like the city is going in a good direction, and this just proves that they’re happy with the direction that we’re going with the city as a whole,” Corte said.

Janet Corte, Katy City Council Ward A incumbent, is leading in early voting results with 356 votes, or 85.99% of the vote. Challenger Cara Bonin currently holds 14.01%.
