The details
In July, the retail center saw the opening of Stacks—an eatery that sells boneless chicken, burgers and fries stuffed into a handheld cone for the customer on-the-go. The serving style is marketed by the restaurant as a “new and innovative way to serve food,” according to a news release.
The restaurant was initially established as a food truck in McAllen in 2019. It has since expanded to food courts in more than four locations throughout Texas, including the new Katy Mills destination.
On the menu
In addition to the chicken and fries, the eatery’s menu includes other handheld fare—such as corn dogs, mozzarella sticks, spiropapas, chili cheese dogs and chicken sandwiches.
Chicken tenders and boneless wings can be dusted and dipped in a variety of toppings and sauces, including:
- Meteor dust, a spicy frito chip crust
- Hot cheese
- Golden barbecue
- Buffalo
- Ranch
- Mango habanero
- Lemon pepper
